Ivy Bot The latest in Forex Automated Robots

IvyBot Forex Trading System Review

Ivy Bot (IvyBot) is the latest automated forex trading system. Developed by a team of ivy league graduates (thus the name IvyBot) over several years of testing and investigating market trends, Ivy  Bot is the latest MetaTrader automated system to hit the market.

What is Included With Ivy Bot (IvyBot)

Ivy Bot includes four seperate currency trading robots, each focusing on a separate currency pair.  As of this Ivy Bot review, the pairs covered are: EUR/JPY, EUR/USD, USD/CHF, and USD/JPY. There is a separate robot for each currency pair so each pair is tweaked individually. This is a bonus, because not all pairs trade exactly the same.  The four included pairs cover a large segment of the Forex market, and thus provide plenty of opportunity for profitability. Also included is a detailed manual explaining how to best implement Ivy Bot. They do not leave it up to the end user to best tweak the algorithms like some systems. Finally, Ivy Bot (IvyBot) includes a lifetime support membership. This is of dubious value, to be proven in the future, as too many Forex robot manufacturers move on to other projects, leaving their old customers behind. It sounds like the Ivy Bot team wants to provide continuous and ongoing support, but we reserve the right to be skeptical for the next year or two, until they have proven the quality of their support.

Does Ivy Bot (IvyBot) work – Our Review and Opinion

We have had a preview copy of Ivy Bot to play with for the last 30 days (which has since been updated and tweaked).  Setup was easy, for both newbies and MT4 experts. IvyBot provides a great starting list of brokers with accounts that work with the program, and include free trials. Using the free accounts, you can test Ivy Bot and see if it lives up to your expectations. (Please note, Robots tend to run a little better on the “test” accounts, as they do not suffer the failed transactions, requotes, and other problems that plague live systems, the best trial is live with real money.)  We of course back tested the robots, and were pleased with the results. The profits were solid, although the draw downs were a little painful a couple of times, I would not run IvyBot on a 200:1 margin. In a 4 month backtest, our “test” value increased about 140%, certainly an acceptable return.

Next we tried a 30 day run with real money, starting with a $1000 account.  This test went amazingly well. There were several draw trades, a couple small losses (offset by gains in other currencies), and at the end of the month, a respectable 20% return. Since we were using real money, on a 100:1 account, we were pretty conservative with our lots, so a higher return with a more aggressive approach might have netted more.  Overall we were quite pleased with the results.

Long term, Ivy Bot (IvyBot) will live or die based upon their ongoing support, which is unfortuneately outside the scope of this review. So far, support is great, and we have made money. When conditions change in 6 months, as the world economy expands, if Ivy Bot is updated to reflect changing conditions, it will do well, otherwise, it will fade as all previous automated systems have faded. I hope the Ivy Bot team lives up to their reputation, and delivers an ongoing, profitable robot.
